Metzke Pewter Butterfly Necklace Bohemian Gpysy Retro Circular Pendant

Unique circular pendant necklace from Metzke Pewter featuring a bohemian butterfly with elaborate cutouts. This large pendant is 'crude cast' meaning there is minimal finishing to the inside edges of the cutouts. There is a groovy boho vibe to this necklace that would be awesome for any 1960 -1970's costume, and is just as relevant for today's hippies. :)

We clean, inspect and return vintage treasures to their best possible condition. Decades of old makeup, dirt and dust are removed and pieces receive a light polish. This process takes many attempts and sometimes hours of work. This is in stark contrast to most sellers. Our vintage jewelry is ready to wear, and in the best possible condition we were able to provide. It is a labor of love, and we think it shows in our photos and in person.

Bitchin Retro Notes: This necklace is in excellent vintage condition, and has been thoroughly cleaned. Of note - this is rough cast pewter and as such, some edges, particularly on the backside and inside of the cutouts, have not been filed smooth. It looks like someone applied clear nail polish to the back, which has yellowed slightly over the years. We think we would follow suit, and apply additional nail polish, or take a small file to some of the cutout edges. All outer edges are comparatively smooth to the inner cutouts. Vintage jewelry is rarely perfect. We will do our best to note any obvious flaws, but flea bites, and small scratches are to be expected. Please view all photos with zoom to see characteristics of this listing, and note the measurements provided, as we use a telephoto lens to show as much visual detail as we can. Condition Descriptions:

Excellent = very little to no visible wear, though minimal flea bites/scratches may be seen thru a loupe.

Very Good = normal wear and tear typical for the age which can be seen up close, as well as flea bites/scratches seen thru a loupe.

Average = significant wear seen with and without a loupe. We will note specifics and provide photos.
