Hobe Vintage Dichroic Art Glass, Rhinestone and Pearl Earrings

A spectacular peacock color palette comes to life in vintage Hobe earrings. Organically shaped dichroic art glass center a perimeter of sparkly rhinestones and faux pearls.  Can't you just see these with a retro emerald green tailored dress rockin a perky peplum and white gloves?

We clean, inspect and return vintage treasures to their best possible condition. Decades of old makeup, dirt and dust are removed and pieces receive a light polish. This process takes many attempts and sometimes hours of work. This is in stark contrast to most sellers. Our vintage jewelry is ready to wear, and in the best possible condition we were able to provide. It is a labor of love, and we think it shows in our photos and in person.

Bitchin Retro Notes: These earrings are in excellent vintage condition from the front, and average condition from the back. These earrings were released from the fierce grip of vintage pancake makeup which was everywhere! Every nook and cranny has been thoroughly cleaned, and metallic areas given a light polish. As is common with much vintage jewelry, there is some excess glue on the pearl undersides which can be seen thru a loupe, and upon close up inspection. There are also a few pearls where the nacre has crazed or cracked in conjunction with the aging glue. (See photos.) These areas are intact, with no loose edges. They could be easily repaired with a carefully applied pearlized paint. As collectors often want items in their original state, we have left any repairs, or glue removal up to the next owners. The earrings could easily be worn as is. One would be hard pressed to see any residual glue or nacre crazing when worn. Please see condition descriptions below.

Vintage jewelry is rarely perfect. We will do our best to note any obvious flaws, but flea bites, and small scratches are to be expected. Please view all photos with zoom to see characteristics of this listing, and note the measurements provided, as we use a telephoto lens to show as much visual detail as we can. This may enhance size perception. We would be happy to answer any questions, or provide additional photos. 

Condition Descriptions: 

Excellent = very little to no visible wear, though minimal flea bites/scratches may be seen thru a loupe or magnification. 

Very Good = normal wear and tear typical for the age which can be seen up close, as well as flea bites/scratches seen thru a loupe.

Average = significant wear seen with and without a loupe. We will note specifics and provide photos.
