West Germany Vintage Necklace with Enamel Flower Pin and ART Earrings
Vintage six strand lucite necklace marked West Germany on the button clasp. A fun kitschy mix of yellows and oranges all separated by seed beads for definition, and interspersed with pale apricot floral beads. Paired with it is a retro enameled floral pin with upraised center stamens, and articulated earrings by ART jewelry in a juicy tangerine orange color. A sunny blend of vintage pieces that can be mixed and matched.
Necklace is 21" long including the button clasp. The pin is 3" diameter. Earrings are 1 1/2" long x 3/4" wide.
We clean, inspect and return vintage treasures to their best possible condition. Decades of old makeup, dirt and dust are removed and pieces receive a light polish. This process takes many attempts and sometimes hours of work. This is in stark contrast to most sellers. Our vintage jewelry is ready to wear, and in the best possible condition we were able to provide. It is a labor of love, and we think it shows in our photos and in person.
Bitchin Retro Notes: All jewelry in this collection has been thoroughly cleaned. ART Jewelry was in business from 1950-1980, and was owned by designer Arthur Pepper. The necklace and earrings are in excellent vintage condition. The brooch is in average condition. Some enamel tips were chipped, and were re-coated in the original color, following the original lines which were charmingly different from tip to tip. The orange enamel also had some issues near the center of the flower, and we touched up those areas with a high quality enamel paint. Though we were going for an exact match, the orange tones are slightly different, but not noticeable at a conversational distance. It the stamens were fanned out, you probably would not see the repairs all. We did not fan it out, as we wanted you to be able to zoom in. Many sellers do not repair the enamel on these vintage floral pins, but we feel that it keeps the pin from suffering further damage by sealing the chipped edges. Please see condition descriptions below.
Vintage jewelry is rarely perfect. We will do our best to note any obvious flaws, but flea bites, and small scratches are to be expected. Please view all photos with zoom to see characteristics of this listing, and note the measurements provided, as we use a telephoto lens to show as much visual detail as we can. This may enhance size perception. We would be happy to answer any questions, or provide additional photos.
Condition Descriptions:
Excellent = very little to no visible wear, though minimal flea bites/scratches may be seen thru a loupe or magnification.
Very Good = normal wear and tear typical for the age which can be seen up close, as well as flea bites/scratches seen thru a loupe.
Average = significant wear seen with and without a loupe. We will note specifics and provide photos.
We want you to be happy with your purchase, and have provided information to highlight the features and any imperfections or vintage love on our pieces. We also share condition descriptions (and lots of pictures) so that you are aware of how we arrived at our opinion. If despite our best efforts we miss something, we will be happy to work with you.
Give us an opportunity to make it right...because we will.
