We clean, inspect and return vintage treasures to their best possible condition. Decades of old makeup, dirt and dust are removed and pieces receive a light polish. This process takes many attempts and sometimes hours of work. This is in stark contrast to most sellers. Our vintage jewelry is ready to wear, and in the best possible condition we were able to provide. It is a labor of love, and we think it shows in our photos and in person.
Bitchin Retro Notes: This necklace has been thoroughly cleaned, and all silver tone areas given a light polish. Please note length - as this necklace was intended for a petite neckline. It is by and large in very good vintage condition for it's age, with a few areas to note. There are (2) small 1/8" areas of plating loss on the front and back, as well as some minimal flea bites of plating loss on a few of the links. There is also minimal plating loss on the inside of the links at the articulations, as is quite common with these pieces. Most of these were only noted with magnification, and not visible with the naked eye. The 1/8" areas can be touched up with a high quality silver paint, upon request. We cannot recreate the rhodium finish, but we can get pretty close, and this will protect those vulnerable edges for years to come. There is one link which shows some faint excess glue on the underside, which would be difficult to see without magnification. Lastly, a few of the rhinestones are angled in their cups. We believe this was intentional to intensify or differentiate the sparkle in comparison to neighboring stones. in researching this necklace, we found this to be consistent with others on the market. Please see photos.
Vintage jewelry is rarely perfect. We will do our best to note any obvious flaws, but flea bites, and small scratches are to be expected. Please view all photos with zoom to see characteristics of this listing, and note the measurements provided, as we use a telephoto lens to show as much visual detail as we can, and this may enhance size perception. We would be happy to answer any questions, or provide additional photos.
