Kenneth Jay Lane Vintage Rhinestone Earrings 1960's Designer KJL

Beautiful example of Kenneth Jay Lane's earlier designs, these earrings feature turquoise and white lucite cabochons flanked by emerald cut and chaton rhinestones. Designed in a three dimensional dome style, they really make a statement that is still as relevant to today's fashion sense as it was back in the day.

We clean, inspect and return vintage treasures to their best possible condition. Decades of old makeup, dirt and dust are removed and pieces receive a light polish. This process takes many attempts and sometimes hours of work. This is in stark contrast to most sellers. Our vintage jewelry is ready to wear, and in the best possible condition we were able to provide. It is a labor of love, and we think it shows in our photos and in person.

Bitchin Retro Notes: These earrings are in very good to excellent vintage condition, and have been thoroughly cleaned. Of note: each white cabochon has a minor scratch or bite, please see close up photos. In addition, the area of the clip attachment was welded slightly differently and "leans" a little. The weld looks to be uncompromised, and there is no crimp or bend in the metal where one might expect if it had taken some undue pressure. (Please see photos.) This does not affect the way the earrings clip on, or look, and is only visible from one specific view. As we scrutinized and compared the backs of these earrings, we noticed several areas where the welding was slightly different from earring to earring. All in all, we suspect that these little differences were inherent in the smaller productions of his earlier works. Please see condition descriptions below.

Vintage jewelry is rarely perfect. We will do our best to note any obvious flaws, but flea bites, and small scratches are to be expected. Please view all photos with zoom to see characteristics of this listing, and note the measurements provided, as we use a telephoto lens to show as much visual detail as we can. This may enhance both size perception and imperfections not visible without magnification. We would be happy to answer any questions, or provide additional photos. 

Condition Descriptions: 

Excellent = very little to no visible wear, though minimal flea bites/scratches may be seen thru a loupe or magnification. 

Very Good = normal wear and tear typical for the age which can be seen up close, as well as flea bites/scratches seen thru a loupe. 

Average = significant wear seen with and without a loupe. We will note specifics and provide photos.
